Usefulness of 3D OCT to Diagnose a Noncircumferential Open-Cell Stent Fracture.

چکیده
A 56-year-old woman underwent a primary percutaneous coronary intervention: after thrombus aspiration, a 3.5 15-mm dual-therapy stent (Combo, OrbusNeich Medical, Fort Lauderdale, Florida) was directly implanted at nominal pressure in the proximal right coronary artery. Because of nonuniform balloon expansion during stent implantation, we performed enhanced stent imaging (ESI), which showed a slight stent underexpansion, post-dilated

GPU-Accelerated Framework for Intracoronary Optical Coherence Tomography Imaging at the Push of a Button
Frequency domain optical coherence tomography (FD-OCT) has become one of the important clinical tools for intracoronary imaging to diagnose and monitor coronary artery disease, which has been one of the leading causes of death. To help more accurate diagnosis and monitoring of the disease, many researchers have recently worked on visualization of various coronary microscopic features including ...

A 70-year-old woman with stenosis at the bifurcation of the left anterior descending artery (LAD) and diagonal branch (Dx) underwent implantation of a Xience Alpine stent (2.5 23 mm; Abbott Vascular, Abbott Park, Illinois) in the LAD under 3-dimensional (3D) optical coherence tomography (OCT) (St. Jude Medical, St. Paul, Minnesota) guidance. 3D-OCT image reconstruction using Intage Realia softw...
متن کاملRetinal Ganglion Cell Complex in Alzheimer Disease: Comparing Ganglion Cell Complex and Central Macular Thickness in Alzheimer Disease and Healthy Subjects Using Spectral Domain-Optical Coherence Tomography
Introduction: Alzheimer disease (AD) is the most common form of dementia worldwide. The modalities to diagnose AD are generally expensive and limited. Both the central nervous system (CNS) and the retina are derived from the cranial neural crest; therefore, changes in retinal layers may reflect changes in the CNS tissue. Optical coherence tomography (OCT) machine can show delicate retinal layer...
متن کاملCoronary stent fracture complicated multiple aneurysms confirmed by 3-dimensional reconstruction of intravascular-optical coherence tomography in a patient treated with open-cell designed drug-eluting stent.
A 55-year-old man with a previous history of cerebral infarct and hypertension presented to our cardiovascular center complaining of angina in November 2011. Chronic total occlu-sion in the proximal left anterior descending artery was identified by coronary angiography (Figure 1A). The patient subsequently underwent percutaneous coronary intervention. Wiring was done successfully with a tapered...
متن کاملOptical Coherence Tomography Imaging: Novel Insights into the Vascular Response After Coronary Stent Implantation
Optical coherence tomography (OCT) is a high-resolution imaging technique that is increasingly used for intracoronary imaging to characterize coronary atherosclerotic plaques and vascular responses after coronary stent implantation. Introduction of optical frequency-domain imaging (OFDI; second generation OCT) has simplified practical use of this novel imaging modality resulting in a more wides...
